The HGS-HIRe Participant Education Projects (pep) provide a platform for HGS-HIRe participants to organize and conduct small workshops with a clear educational or training aspect.

Do you think your doctoral project would benefit from a small workshop where (invited) experts share their knowledge and experience?

Are you missing a HGS-HIRe lecture week or power week in our regular program and think that a certain topic would be of great interest for other HGS-HIRe participants or advanced master students, as well?

Then maybe the new HGS-HIRe Participant Education Projects is the way to go: Here is the idea:

You are overwhelmed by the number of HGS-HIRe participants who want to join your pep-event? Talk to us, maybe we can turn it into a regular lecture week or power week with a bigger budget to cover the costs of the event.

If you have any questions please let us know.

Details: A HGS-HIRe pep event can be funded with a maximum of 1500 Euros. The funding can be used to cover accomodation, material or travel costs and catering to a reasonable, limited amount. In the spirit of HGS-HIRe the focus of the pep-events needs to be educational, i.e. on the training of the participants. Support for scientific workshops in the usual manner or collaboration meetings can not be provided. There is no fixed application deadline for the HGS-HIRe pep-events at this point.
