Please note: Due to the Covid-19 situation this course cannot be held as a face-to-face event. However, we are happy to offer this training event in a modified version as an online course in cooperation with our colleagues from the International Helmholtz Research School of Biophysics and Soft Matter (IHRS-BioSoft) at the Helmholtz Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Date

November 30 - December 2, 2021

HGS-HIRe Basic Course III: Leadership and Career Development (fully equivalent to the Helmholtz Course III: Career and Leadership Development)

This course will provide participants with an opportunity to look ahead and build their understanding, skills and confidence in the key areas of career planning, career development and the further development of their leadership style. Using the participants' skills and expertise, the course will explore what is important for them in terms of ongoing career development. Working individually and in groups participants will be encouraged to build a clear picture of what they want to do, who they want to be, and how they want to get there. They will also build on their understanding of personal leadership, career planning and the skills and competencies organisations require when recruiting and developing employees.
