Please note: Due to the Covid-19 situation this course cannot be held as
a face-to-face event. However, we are happy to offer this training event
in a modified version as an online course in cooperation with our colleagues
from the International Helmholtz Research School of Biophysics and Soft Matter
(IHRS-BioSoft) at the Helmholtz Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Helmholtz Course III: Career and Leadership Development (fully equivalent to HGS-HIRe Basic Course III)
This course will provide participants with an opportunity to look ahead and build their understanding,
skills and confidence in the key areas of career planning, career development and the further development
of their leadership style. Using the participants' skills and expertise, the course will explore what is
important for them in terms of ongoing career development. Working individually and in groups participants
will be encouraged to build a clear picture of what they want to do, who they want to be, and how they want
to get there. They will also build on their understanding of personal leadership, career planning and the
skills and competencies organisations require when recruiting and developing employees.

This online seminar starts on Tuesday, October 5, at 9:00 and ends on Thursday, October 7, in the afternoon (around 14:00).
Don't worry, there are breaks in between. A detailed schedule of the course will be sent together with the joining instructions
by email in due time. Please make sure that you join the online course well in time and fully because it is an interactive
training event.

Clothing:
The seminar will be very informal, so only casual attire necessary.
IT / Internet
This online course will be offered via Zoom. Hence you need stable internet access
in order to follow the online course. Detailed information about the meeting ID/link
and further access data will be announced to the registered participants by e-mail
in due time before the course starts.
Expenses
For HGS-HIRe members, all basic course expenses are covered by HGS-HIRe.
You only have to arrange for your food and drinks.
