Practical Information

Begin/End

Arrival at Haus Ebersberg and check-in are on Sunday, September 13, in the late afternoon. After dinner, there is a welcome and introduction session followed by a get-together.
The scientific part of the lecture week starts on Monday morning and closes on Friday afternoon.

Late arrivals

If you will arrive late please contact the coordinators in advance so key pick up can be arranged.

Venue

The seminar will be at Haus Ebersberg >, Ebersberg Str. 27, D-34596 Bad Zwesten - Wenzigerode, in the north of Hesse.

Travel

Travel from Jena will be by car pools organized by RS-APS. In case you want to make use of this travel option from Jena, please contact Renate Märtin in advance.
For the HGS-HIRe participants from the Rhein-Main-Neckar area, travel will be arranged individually (please use public transport or car pools).

Accomodation

Accomodation is mostly in twin bed rooms.

Food

Special food requirements (vegetarian, other) should be communicated to Renate Märtin in advance. Full board is included in the lecture week.

What to bring

Linen/towel: All rooms have linen and towels, no need to bring them. Shower gel, shampoo and hair dryers are not provided.

Internet

Wireless internet access is available. Please bring your own laptop.

Presentations

Each participant will contribute in a presentation. Subjects will be given in due time before the lecturer week. They will be arranged by the lecturers. The presentations will not be on the own scientific work of the participants but will be connected to the topic of the lecture week. A projector will be available. In addition flip charts can be used. Presentation time is about 20 minutes including discussion.

Expenses

All basic expenses are covered by HGS-HIRe and RS-APS, respectively. All meals are included. You only have to pay for local expenses (drinks, etc.).

Insurance

Though this trip will not generate any costs for your supervisor or group please do not forget to file a trip request so you are covered by accident insurance during the lecture week. Please ask the secretary of your official supervisor at the university for the appropriate form.
