The Helmholtz Graduate School for Hadron and Ion Research - HGS-HIRe for FAIR - is proudly looking back on its first year of structured doctoral education. One year ago GSI with the universities at Darmstadt, Frankfurt am Main, Giessen, Heidelberg and Mainz together with FIAS, established HGS-HIRe to enhance the quality of doctoral training in the field of hadron and ion research.
After a successful first year we want to review and celebrate what has been achieved.
